5 Homes That Belong to Successful CEOs

CEOs are among the few that have the good fortune to end up in some of the most amazing homes around the world. It is their acumen that leads the companies they work for to success and thus enables the CEOs to afford such real estate. Their homes are large and in areas of the country that many of us dream of living in. These homes often have basketball courts, swimming pools, and other luxurious amenities. Let’s take a look a five of these homes that belong to successful CEOs.

Mark Zuckerberg is not only the CEO of Facebook, but he is its co-founder as well. He has changed the way we view and use social media in our everyday lives. It is this success that has afforded him an impressive $7 million home in Palo Alto, California. Although it has a hefty price tag, it is quite modest in comparison to other homes in that price range around the country. His home is only 5,000 square feet, and it has five bedrooms and a pool.

Bill Gates

At the other end of the spectrum is Bill Gates, the founder and former CEO of Microsoft. Bill stepped down from this position in 2000 and was the company’s chairman until 2014. The richest person in the world has a home in Medina, Washington, that is worth more than $122 million. This eccentric home is 50,050 square feet and has eight bedrooms and 25 bathrooms. It also has a six kitchens and a swimming pool with underwater music.

Evin Williams

Evin Williams is the founder and former CEO of Twitter and lives in beautiful San Fransisco, California. His five-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bath home is worth $2.4 million. Although he paid less for his home than these other CEOs, the home still has some great amenities. In fact, it has a yard as well as a guest house, which is quite impressive for a home in this city.

Michael Dell

Another giant in the tech industry is Michael Dell, founder, and CEO of Dell Computers. He, too, has a mansion, and it is worth over $18.5 million. This Austin, Texas, home has eight bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, and 13 half-baths. Among its 33,000 square feet you will find an indoor and an outdoor swimming pool. But it is the 20 acres of land surrounding this home that make it stand out among the rest.

Mark Hurd

Not all CEOs live in extravagant homes. Mark Hurd, CEO of the Oracle Corporation enjoys a relatively modest lifestyle in a home in Atherton, California. His home has five bedrooms, six-and-a-half baths, and a pool. It is 6,400 square feet and sits on less than an acre of property. Although currently valued over $13 million, he bought it for $7.8 million back in 2012.

As you can see, although CEOs do have good fortune and can often afford extravagant homes, not all of them go to extremes. In fact, some of them live in homes that aren’t so out of reach for the rest of the world — well, at least not out of the realm of possibilities for tech company CEOs.
