Millennials are getting in on the action more in Canada, too. 53% of millennials visit casinos once or twice per year as of 2014, with 17% visiting once every three to five months.

And, roughly 76% of Canadians are believed to take part in some variety of gambling at any point during the year, which is more than 30 million Canadian people.

 Macao

Sometimes referred to as the “gambling capital of the world”, Macao is a Special Administrative Region in China. Gambling has been legal since the 1850s when it was legalized by the Portuguese government.

Since then, Macao’s gambling industry has grown significantly and it has become a tourist hotspot for people looking for the thrill of great casinos in a totally new environment.

As of 2018, there were 41 casinos operating in Macao, which help generate a revenue of $37.59 billion (USD) every year. This is significantly larger than the revenue made from many of the most developed countries on the planet, making Macao a serious international gambling hub.
